The Site is collectively the “Services.” This Privacy Statement also explains how CoolAir may use and disclose such information, as well as your ability to control certain uses of it.
Information You Provide to Us
As part of registering with or otherwise accessing and using the Products, you may be asked to provide certain personal information, including, but not limited to, your name, e-mail address, phone number, and home address (and collectively with any other personal information you voluntarily provide, “Personal Information”). You may choose not to provide Personal Information, but some features of the Products may be unavailable.
Information We Collected Automatically
In addition to the Personal Information you provide, CoolAir and its agents may collect and use diagnostic, technical, and other usage information related to your use of the Products (“Non-Personal Information”). Non-Personal Information collected may include, without limitation, device information such as Product number, IP address, device ID, operating system, browser, and geo- location (in the United States and Canada only) for any device you use to access the Products, and usage information such as clicks, interactions, pages or screens viewed, requests made, emails opened or read, and features used.
Information Provides by Others
Cookies and Tracking Options
Like most companies, CoolAir collects information through cookies and related tracking technologies. When you use our Products, cookies and related technologies such as web beacons, we may collect Non-Personal Information such as whether you have used the Products before, which webpages you have chosen to visit, what search terms you entered, your IP address, your browser type and language, the date and time you access our Products and the website from which you linked to our Products. You may also be able to save preferences for our Products if you have cookies enabled, which may expedite your use of our Products if you visit or otherwise use them frequently. If you disable cookies or related functions, certain features of our Products may not be accessible to you or may not function optimally. Please see our Cookie Notice and Disclosure page for more information and, where applicable, instructions on how to disable certain of these functions if you wish to do so. Additionally, CoolAir may collect information through cookies and other identiﬁers using Google Analytics for the uses described in Sections 2 and 3. Products may also implement Google Advertising Features for Remarketing. CoolAir may send Non-Personal Information to Google Analytics via tracking code, the Google Analytics SDK, or the Google Measurement Protocol. You may opt out the Google Analytics Advertising features by accessing Ads Settings in your browser or using the Google Analytics Opt-out Brower Add-on.
Tracking Options and California Do Not Track Disclosures
Certain parts of our Services require cookies. You may adjust your browser or operating system settings to limit this tracking or to decline cookies, but by doing so, you may not be able to use certain features on the Services or take full advantage of all of our offerings and such settings may have no effect on non-cookie technologies. Check the “Help” menu of your browser or operating system to learn how to adjust your tracking settings or cookie preferences. Note that browser settings, including do not track signals and other mechanisms, may not affect data collection and do not constitute an opt-out of advertising-related cookies, or personalized third-party advertising. Information Collected From Other Sources
If you use a third party login to create your account (such as Facebook Connect) or otherwise link to us, we may receive certain information about you from the third party based on your registration and privacy settings with those third party services. This information may include name, user name, demographic information, updated address or contact information, interests, and publicly-observed data, such as from social media and online activity.
Combination of Information
We may combine the information we receive from and about you, including personal and non-personal information, and information collected through our Sites, Apps, and offline, as well as information collected across other computers or devices that you may use, and from third party sources to help us tailor our communications to you and to improve our Site and Services.
We may share data, such as technical identifiers derived from your email sign-in on our website or our CRM system, with our trusted advertising partners. This allows them to link your devices and/or environments and provide to you a seamless experience across different devices and environments that you use. You can opt out through the NAI opt out platform located here for each device, as well as use the mobile device settings of Limit Ad Tracking.

The Products do not take any action in response to “do not track” signals that may be transmitted by some web browsers.
What Personal Information does CoolAir collect? How does it collect such Information?
“Personal Information” is information through which a natural person is identification or may be identified. CoolAir may collect, use and process your personal information in order to provide you with services, products or information that you request. The collection of information will be transparent to you, and you will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to provide it. If you choose not to provide any of the Personal Information requested, CoolAir may be unable to complete your transaction, or provide the information, services or products you have requested.
CoolAir may collect information, including Personal Information, from you when you submit a form or request, or register a product with CoolAir, such as: name, physical address, the company for whom you work, phone number, email address and fax number. CoolAir may also ask you to provide information about the product you are registering or the person/company that installed or maintains it.
Why does CoolAir collect your Personal Information?
Our purpose in collecting this information is to provide customized services and content relevant to your specific needs and interests. Your information may be used by CoolAir to carry out our contractual obligations, authenticate you as a user and allow you access to certain areas of our website, Apps or social media sites or allow you to apply for a position at CoolAir.
Personal Information collected on a Website or App may be used to:
- Provide requested information, items, or services;
- Advertise products, services, promotions and events relating to CoolAir;
- Improve our products, services, surveys, Websites and Apps;
- Analyze your behavior on our Website and Apps;

Where is Personal Information stored?
CoolAir relies on available legal mechanisms to enable the legal transfer of personal information across the country. To the extent that CoolAir relies on the standard contractual clauses (also called the model clauses), CoolAir will comply with those requirements, including where there may be a conflict between those requirements and this Privacy Notice.
Does CoolAir use your Personal Information to contact you?
CoolAir may use the Personal Information you provide to contact you about products, services, promotions, special offers, surveys, and other information that may be of interest to you. If you prefer not to receive such communications, please use the “unsubscribe” function within the Website or App or let us know by sending an mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, CoolAir will ensure that any marketing communications sent by electronic means will provide a simple method for you to opt-out or unsubscribe. Please note that if you unsubscribe from marketing communications, you may continue to receive communications about our account or transactions with us.
Does CoolAir share the information it collects?
CoolAir may share your Personal Information with our affiliated companies, and/or companies in which CoolAir has control, through either direct or indirect ownership for the purposes set out above.
CoolAir will not sell or otherwise transfer or share your Personal Information outside of the companies identified above, except to:

Your personal information may also be maintained and processed by our service providers in the United States, the member states of the European Union, Canada, Asia, and in other jurisdictions.
How does CoolAir secure Personal Information?
CoolAir is committed to ensuring the security and integrity of Personal Information. CoolAir has adopted reasonable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard your Personal Information. However, due to the nature of Internet communications, we cannot guarantee or warrant that
your transmission to us is secure.
How can you correct, change or delete your information held by CoolAir?
You may request to access, update, correct, change, or delete your Personal Information at any time. CoolAir will use reasonable efforts to timely update and/or remove information. To protect the user’s privacy and security, CoolAir will take steps to verify the user’s identity before making any requested change. To access, change, or delete your Personal Information, to report problems with the Website, to ask questions or to raise concerns, send an email to email@example.com. Some of our Websites, Apps, and social media accounts allow you to make corrections directly at the site without need to further contact CoolAir.
Please note that while we will assist you in protecting your Personal Information, it is your responsibility to protect your passwords and other access credentials from others.

In some instances, CoolAir may provide links to and features from non-CoolAir controlled websites, which CoolAir will make reasonable efforts to identify as such. CoolAir does not control such third party websites, however, and cannot be responsible for the content or the privacy practices employed by other websites. Furthermore, this Privacy Notice does not govern information collected about you by third parties. CoolAir uses this information to enhance users’ experience at the Website and to better prepare future content based on the interests of users.
This Website may also use web beacons. A web beacon is usually a pixel on a website that can be used to track whether a user has visited a particular website to deliver targeted advertising. Web beacons are used in combination with cookies, which means that, if you turn off your browser’s cookies, the web beacons will not be able to track your activity. The web beacon will still count as a website visit, but your unique information will not be recorded.
Information collected by web beacons may include IP address information (see below). Web beacon information is also used for:
- Advertising and email auditing, and reporting

CoolAir may collect and keep track of IP addresses to, among other things:
- Maintain Website safety and security

- Better understand how CoolAir Websites are used
CoolAir (or third parties on behalf of CoolAir) may collect information in the form of log files that are recording Website activities and statistics about web users’ habits.
Log files are used for internal purposes only. By using log files, CoolAir can constantly improve and customize their Websites and applications.
The entries help us gather, among other things:
- Internal marketing and demographic studies
- A user’s browser type and operating system
- Information about a user’s session (such as the URL, the date and time our Website was visited and which pages and for how long were viewed on our Website)
- Other similar navigational or click-stream data.
Social Network Information
Social network information is any information that you permit a third party social network to share with third party application developers such as CoolAir. Social network information includes any information that is part of your profile on a third party social network. Such social network may include, but is not limited to, Twitter, Facebook, google+.
To find out how your information from a social network may be obtained by us (or other third party application developers), please go on the settings page of the relevant social network. Furthermore, you acknowledge that we may use your Personal Information to match information with a social network for advertising purposes.
CoolAir cannot make assurances about the security of information that you share with third parties, including information you share with social media sites.

By accessing and using the Products, you consent to our use of your Personal Information for the
following purposes to:
- Administer, develop, or improve our Products
- Better understand how users and customers are using our Products
- Provide investor or business partner information
- Prevent or investigate fraud and other prohibited or illegal activities and to otherwise comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Protect the security and integrity of the Products and our customers and employees
- Respond to specific user requests, including installation requests
- Promote and market our business and other products
- Provide the services and products you have ordered or purchased

Our products are sold through authorized dealers and supported and repaired by authorized service personnel. We may share Personal Information with these entities in support of
the installation, service, technical operation, and improvement of our products and services. We use third
party technology service providers for various purposes in connection with our business operations,
including without limitation to help us operate our websites, maintain our customer and marketing databases, engage in promotions, and deliver communications. We may share Personal Information with these entities to facilitate communication with you and our dealers and service providers, to improve our marketing efforts and to our communications with our customers and visitors, and as otherwise helpful to our business functions and operations.
We may disclose Personal Information if required to do so by law or legal process or in connection with legal requests by law enforcement or government officials. We also may disclose Personal Information if we reasonably believe disclosure is urgently required to prevent harm to persons or property or
in connection with investigations of fraud or suspected illegal activity.
Business Transactions Affecting CoolAir
We may transfer any Personal Information in the event of a sale, merger, acquisition or other transfer of all or any portion of our business or assets.
CoolAir may disclose Non-Personal Information, which does not identify your personally, for any purpose.
Security and Protection
CoolAir uses reasonable measures to protect the Personal Information we collect, but no online transmission of data can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Therefore, you accept and assume the inherent risks of online
communication of your information, including without limitation the risks of interception, unauthorized access, data loss or corruption, or viruses and other harmful programs.
Third Party Links and Services
The Products may contain links or references to other applications or websites that may not be owned or operated by Lennox or any of its affiliates. We cannot control and are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such other applications or websites. We encourage you to read the privacy statements of each application that you
use and website that you visit.
Corrections or Changes to Your Personal Information
You may correct or change the Personal Information you have supplied us with by returning to the page where you provided the information or logging in on the registration page. Lennox also offers the opportunity to opt-out of whether your Personal Information may be used for a purpose other than the purpose for which it was originally collected or subsequently authorized by you. To request such correction, change, or opt-out, please email CoolAir at firstname.lastname@example.org. For third party Personal Information provided by our dealers and referral sources in our role as a data processor, we may have to refer your questions or requests to the applicable dealer or referral source who is the data controller.
CoolAir’s Products are not directed to children under the age of 13 and Lennox does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If we are notified that such information has been collected on our Products we will delete it from our records.
Consent to International Transfer
How may CoolAir use location data?
CoolAir is a global provider of building technologies. Our fire safety, security, building automation, heating, ventilating, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems and services promote integrated, high-performance buildings that are safer, smarter and sustainable. As such, the following are some examples of when location data may be requested to provide some of the services that CoolAir has to offer:
To improve building product capability, such as use your location data in one of our buildings to dynamically adjust ventilation, heating and cooling settings, to turn the lights on or off, or to unlock doors
If you are a visitor to or an employee at our headquarters, use your location data to help you locate the nearest printer or conference room, in order to provide an enhanced experience at our headquarters
To determine which service technician is closest to a service call.
In addition, CoolAir may use location data for location and/or timekeeping purposes for employees or contractors.
In all of these cases, CoolAir will ask permission to collect your location data and so the collection of this data will be transparent to you – you will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to provide your location data. If you choose not to provide your location data, CoolAir may be unable to provide the requested service or complete the requested transaction.
How long do we keep your Personal Information?
The Personal Information you provide to CoolAir is only kept for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, taking into account our need to comply with contractual obligations, resolve customer service issues, comply with legal requirements and provide new or
improved services to users. This means that we may retain your Personal Information for a reasonable period after you stopped using the CoolAir Website or App. After this period, your Personal Information will be deleted from all systems of CoolAir without notice.
What additional information should specific users know?
Parents, Guardians, and Children: Our Apps and Websites are intended for visitors who are at least 18 years of age, or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. CoolAir does not knowingly solicit information from, or market products or services to, children. If you do not meet the age
requirements set out above, please do not enter your Personal Information on this or any other CoolAir Website or App.
Users from California: Annually California residents may request and obtain information that CoolAir shared with other businesses for their own direct marketing use within the prior calendar year (as defined by California’s “Shine the Light Law”). If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of Personal Information that was shared and the names and addresses of all third parties with which CoolAir shared this information in the immediately preceding calendar year. To obtain this information, please send an email message to email@example.com with “California Shine the Light Privacy Request” in the subject line as well as in the body of your message.
Users from the US: CoolAir does not collect Social Security Numbers through its websites. CoolAir does, however, collect Social Security Numbers where required by law, such as for tax and payroll purposes for its employees. When CoolAir collects and/or uses Social Security Numbers, CoolAir will take proper care by protecting confidentiality, limiting access on a need-to-know basis, and implementing appropriate technical safeguards and retention plans.
Any questions or concerns regarding the use or disclosure of Personal information should be directed to the CoolAir office at the address given below. CoolAir will investigate and attempt to resolve complaints and disputes regarding use and disclosure of Personal information in accordance with the principles contained in this Policy. For complaints that cannot be resolved between CoolAir and the complainant, CoolAir has agreed to participate in the dispute resolution procedures of the panel established by the USA data protection authorities and to cooperate and comply with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner to resolve disputes pursuant to the relevant privacy principles. In some circumstances, complainants may be able to appeal these decisions by invoking binding arbitration. All these dispute resolution mechanisms are free of charge to you.
CoolAir sees the Internet, intranets and the use of other technologies as valuable tools for communicating and interacting with consumers, employees, vendors, business partners and others. CoolAir recognizes the importance of maintaining the privacy of Personal information collected through websites that it operates. CoolAir’s sole purpose for operating its websites is to provide information concerning products and services to the public. In general, visitors can reach CoolAir on the Web without revealing any Personal information. Visitors on the Web may elect to voluntarily provide Personal information via CoolAir websites but are not required to do so. CoolAir collects information from visitors to the websites who voluntarily provide Personal information by filling out and submitting online questionnaires concerning feedback on the website, requesting information on products or services, or seeking employment. The Personal information voluntarily provided by website users is contact information limited to the user’s name, home and/or business address, phone numbers and email address. CoolAir collects this information so it may answer questions and forward requested information. CoolAir does not sell this information.

We use a session cookie that lasts for the duration of your visit to our site and is used for load balancing.

Requesting an Appointment
A user may have the option to request an appointment with a contractor online. To submit an online appointment request, you are asked to provide personal information to receive a response or some other service. The personal information that you are requested to provide includes your name, mobile phone number, email address, and home address. The collection of information will be transparent to you – you will be asked for it and will have the opportunity to decide whether or not to provide it. If you choose not to provide any of the personal information requested, CoolAir may be unable to complete the transaction you have requested. Users who submit an appointment request will receive emails and text (SMS) messages about their appointment including acknowledgement, confirmations, status updates, and ratings and review requests. To opt-out reply with text STOP.
Users may receive up to 4 or more messages per appointment. Text (SMS) message & data rates may apply. CoolAir will use the home address you provide to search our product registration database for previously registered equipment and provide a list of this equipment, warranty entitlement, and warranty service history to contactor you selected. The contractor uses this information to provide you with enhanced levels of technical support.
Ratings and Reviews Disclaimer
Finally, you irrevocably waive, and cause to be waived, against CoolAir and its users any claims and assertions of moral rights or attribution with respect to Your Content. By “use”; we mean use, copy, publicly perform and display, reproduce, distribute, modify, translate, remove, analyze, commercialize, and prepare derivative works of Your Content.
General Review Guidelines
Inappropriate content: Threats, harassment, lewdness, hate speech, and other displays of bigotry are not permitted.
Conflicts of interest: Your contributions should be unbiased and objective. For example, you shouldn’t write reviews of your own business or employer, your friends’ or relatives’ business, your peers or competitors in your industry, or businesses in your networking group. Business owners should not ask customers to write reviews.
Promotional content: Unless you are using your Business Owners Account to add content to your business’ profile page, we generally frown upon promotional content.
Relevance: Please make sure your contributions are relevant and appropriate to the forum. For example, reviews are not the place for rants about a business’ employment practices, political ideologies, extraordinary circumstances, or other matters that do not address the core of the consumer experience.
Privacy: Don’t publicize other people’s private information. Please don’t post close-up photos or videos of other patrons without their permission, and please don’t post other people’s full names unless you’re referring to service providers who are commonly identified by or commonly share their own full names.
Intellectual property: All content must be your own.
Demanding payment: Beyond simply asking for a refund to remedy a bad experience, you should not use removing or posting your review as a way to extract payment from a business, regardless of whether you’ve been a customer.
