BISRA recent research about global consumer market of electronic shave disclosed that the use of automated devices and smart HVAC systems has grown by triple in last five years and by 2030 the growth rate will be tremendous as the consumers are turning their houses into smart houses with WI-FI application controls. The large part of this demand is covered by the smart HVAC industry. The prediction of growth will be more than £400 Million by the end of year 2019.
BSRIA has also shown the concern for the rapid transfer of data from the consumers’ smart devices to the application companies who can use this data to their own end. The report has mentioned that in the next decade there will be at least four smart devices used by the consumers globally like HVAC, alarms and other household appliances.
This is a great opportunity for the appliances companies to gather consumer data. Apple, Samsung and Google have already taken the initiative in manufacturing the smart products so they can gather asmuch data as they can to determine the consumer behavior. Here it is where the report has shown the concern of consumer privacy policy and suggested that there should be a strategy developed to protect the consumer rights and privacy.
